CASA of Lowndes and Echols Counties

Become a Volunteer

One caring advocate can be the difference between a child merely surviving the foster care system and truly thriving beyond it.

As a CASA volunteer, you can make a diference in your community by giving a child hope for a brighter childhood and future.

CASA volunteers are everyday heroes from all walks of life who speak up for the best interests of children in foster care. With a CASA volunteer, a foster child is twice as likely to find a safe, permanent home. CASA volunteers provide an invaluable service by advocating for children who have come into care due to abuse or neglect. They serve as the eyes and ears of the court, advocating for the child’s best interest and helping to ensure that the child’s needs are not overlooked.

Ways To Get Involved

CASA Volunteer Advocacy

A Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a trained community volunteer
appointed by a judge to provide individualized attention and advocate for the best interests of children in foster care.

Become a
Friend of CASA

Unlike the role of a CASA volunteer advocate, Friends of CASA are not assigned to a child’s case, but serve in a support role to the Advocates, the children and the staff of CASA of Lowndes and Echols Counties.

Charitable
Donations

Your tax-deductible donation is a wise investment in the future of our children. A year of CASA advocacy costs less than one month of foster care and brings us closer to serving every child in foster care in Georgia.

Learn the Story of a CASA Volunteer

Volunteering with CASA doesn’t just change a child’s life — it can change an entire family’s future. When a CASA volunteer steps into a child’s world, they become a consistent, trusted adult voice during one of the most uncertain times in that child’s life.
