CASA provides specially trained volunteers, who are appointed by the court to help improve a child’s experience in foster care. The CASA volunteer will advocate for the child best interests.

CASA Volunteer Advocacy

A Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) is a trained community volunteer
appointed by a judge to provide individualized attention and advocate for the best interests of children in foster care.

Friend of CASA

Unlike the role of a CASA volunteer advocate, Friends of CASA are not assigned to a child’s case, but serve in a support role to the Advocates, the children and the staff of CASA of Lowndes and Echols Counties.
